Please pray for this family (and check out their blog)

This family is a beautiful family whose 3 yr old daughter is fighting for her life! Her name is Abby and she could use your prayers...as could her family! Thank you and God Bless!

Something About Me

I am married to my soulmate and couldn't be more happy. Aaron and I have been faced with so many blessings along with hard times as well. I have an auto-immune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome (a great website to learn more about this is http://www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Sjogrens_Syndrome/sjogrens_syndrome_ff.asp). It is a disease that usually affects women over the age of 50. I was 17 when I was diagnosed in 1998. Today, we have one VERY special angel/saint watching over us today (Liz) and we are humbled and honored that she watches over us so closely. I have started this site in her memory. By journaling/posting, I'm able to keep my thoughts in check and Liz was always the person to keep everything positive and happy...and that's how I intend for this site to be! I want to keep all of my blessings in check and by posting to this site, that's what I intend to do! :)

Please check up on my site from time-to-time. I will be posting pics, updating our lives and sharing Liz Winks (if you are curious to know what Liz Winks are...just ask...you will be amazed)!!!! SO...remember to stop by! MUCH LOVE TO ALL MY VISITORS!!!!! :)

Liz Grandlund Hacker

Liz was a girl I knew briefly from college. She was a couple years young than me, but I knew her through other friends. In September, 2006 I had heard that she became extremely ill and was needing many prayers. I followed her caringbridge site daily and prayed for Liz, her new hubby and her family. She was eventually diagnosed with Epstein Barr related Hemophagocytic Lymphistiocytosis (HLH). This is a very rare disease that typically affects about 1 in 2 million children and in adults (Liz's case) it's even more rare. After a most courageous battle, Liz entered into heaven on November 14, 2006 just 3 months after she got married. Through Jesus, Liz keeps us all in check of our faith by sending beautiful messages from heaven called Liz Winks. Her most favorite color was pink, so many of these "winks" come in the color pink. Liz always saw the best in people and now she's able to show that feeling from heaven and I might say, she does a beautiful job! Liz, I pray for your family everyday and I thank you for continuing to bless my life and mine and Aaron's love! See you in heaven!!
